Today I discussed, in Spanish, about buying a belt.
How much is it?
They're 300 pesos.
What if I told you I'm Spanish, not American?
Then it will cost a lot less.

Today I found a good happy hour bar full of expats. I learned a lot talking to them. Plus, talking with people is one of my favorite hobbies. Everyone has at least one great story if you're willing to listen. Anyway, I'm going back tomorrow for hamburger and two-for-one tequila shots night. All bets are off on how that unfolds!

And some pics from the day.

Sorry to go OT, but concerning ^that^. I think we've all heard that there are some folks that don't like Cilantro ("tastes like soap" is what they usually say). I heard a thing the other day that said that neanderthals also didn't like cilantro (have the same gene). So the theory is that there was a mutation at some point after that where folks started liking it. So technically, the folks that like cilantro are mutants.

Tulum actually rocks. unless you stick to the Zona Turista. You should check it out sometime.

Cilantro is awesome when utilized properly, and Chimichurri isn't even remotely Mexican.

The last thing I look for when I travel anywhere is the local ex-pat community, or food that suits my tastes back home.

I get it, though. Enjoy your trip and travel safely!

At first I thought Mexico had a lot of strays, but they don't. In Mexico people turn their dogs out to roam. They wander through the bars, restaurants, and stores all day. Many locals know them by name.

I'm thinking someone had too much fun last night.

I love when a trip gets interesting. I chuckled to myself when I found out he has a motorcycle. IDK why, but guys with motorcycles like me.

Yeah, both myself and my wife are negative on Cilantro. Coriander is fine (the seeds) but the leaves taste like soap.

Me. I can't eat anything that has cilantro in it.
