That’s a great idea to start a gift thread! I’ve been looking for unique gifts too. One of the best surprises I gave recently was a Nixplay digital picture frame for my parents. They love it! It’s perfect for them because they get to see new photos of the grandkids without having to print anything. You can upload pictures remotely, and they can see a slideshow of their favorites. It’s been a hit, and they enjoy it so much that it’s like a little digital album they get to enjoy every day. Have you thought about a digital frame for anyone on your list?

I received a unique gift from my younger sister...she always starts looking for great gifts for the next year as soon as Christmas is over.
It's a Soliom BF08 Smart Bird Feeder with 1080p Camera. Great resolution and the pic is like they are 4" from your face. Comes with a solar panel...just need to place it within your wifi range. It has audio, so it's fun to watch and hear them fight for their morning food. Very easy to set up. Bird image capture and ID (if not sure what the bird is) I have lots of diff birds, but the Cardinals and Blue Jays hog the feeder and it's fun watching them crack the sunflower seeds faster than I can. Also has camera sharing...for friends or relatives wherever. I have had a diff one from Walmart....this one is much nicer and heavy duty. https://www.youtube.com/shorts/Au20IIsyR5M?feature=share .

My daughters got me one last Father’s Day. Birdfy I think it’s called. Has the solar panel too…baterry stays at 100%. Bluebirds dominate mine.
![]() We have lots of live oaks and tons of acorns this year. I was worried about squirrels dominating the feeder but my wife found bird seed that has red pepper in it. Birds don’t mind it but squirrels want nothing to do with it. Another shot.

Nice pics...no Bluebirds up here in the winter, but I counted 6 male Cardinals waiting for a turn at the oilers in the feeder yesterday.
I haven't yet figured out how to get a still frame pic with the camera and post it. (as you did) I might have to do more reading of the manual. ![]() I know I can't post a live feed unless the other person(s) download the camera app. and then get permission from me via email. ![]() We have lots of live oaks and tons of acorns this year. Finding the perfect gift can be so much fun, especially when it’s for a fellow pet lover! Whether it’s toys for their furry friends, cozy pet beds, or health essentials, there are so many thoughtful options out there. I recently came across World Pet Express(https://www.worldpetexpress.net), and they have a variety of pet care products that would make great gifts for anyone with a beloved pet.

There's some amazing shirts and so on that you can get. I got this shirt and sweatshirt for the couple I got my GSD from. I changed the text to the name of their kennel:

Saw this list and got a couple of things before not looking anymore. These look pretty cool for $4.99 (item 25):

Hmm, for Dad, I always think something thoughtful and practical works well—maybe a good quality wallet, a classic watch, or even a favorite book or something for his hobbies. Sometimes it's the simple things—a handwritten letter or a framed photo—that mean the most.
Any ideas you've been considering? Always curious what others come up with—it helps spark inspiration. |
