Nice ‘66 GT, what kind of steering wheel is that if you know? It’s in great shape. Any markings on it?

I drove up to Carmel on Tuesday to pick up this ‘67 MGB roadster, definitely needs some attention but has a great rebuilt engine from a well known MG guru up in Marin county and a’68 all-synchro transmission plus fiberglass rear springs, (actually really awesome), headers and a cam, runs great:

Also did the carpet I actually used 10 welcome mats and pieced it all together. The guy I got it from got it about 15 years ago and never did anything except take it apart. I knew of the car because I saw it outside his garage back when he got it. It always was on my mind. Then I had the tiguan out for sale and he asked about it. I put two and two together and find out he is the guy so ask him about the car he still has it so I offer to trade. Also turns out we actually graduated together and know alot of the same people now we are friends. Anyway looking forward to getting it on the road the next month or so

I love it!

Thanks I never was much for mgs but lately iv been looking for a tc. I like the gt's and I really like the color combo on this one and the patina and wire wheels yet no rust I love it. After working on it I got a new appreciation for them very well designed and simple. Its a great car. I dont know what the steering wheel is or if its an original, Its a very early serial number so built in 65 one of the first in the country id say. I havnt been able to find any other wheels with this logo. I sanded and fixed up the wood as best i could and refinished it with super glue.

After a little digging, I think that it's a Moto-lita steering wheel. Nice piece.

Your car should have red seats, other than that it's a real beauty. Great score.

Just got this for free I think its a 1960. Missing the engine. My neighbor friend that does demo was taking down a hoarder house. I got lots of cool car books too. Probably use it for a yard ornament for now till I have time to mess with it.

There is no such thing as a "free" British car.

I've only owned a couple TR-7's. This was the second one I had, an '80 drop-head coupe!

Fun car. Had it for quite a few years......

My cousin had a TR6 that caught fire at a stoplight and pretty much burned to the ground before the fire trucks could get there. Undeterred, he promptly went out and bought another one...
The local C&C here usually attracts some very nice British iron.

Frame rust. Check the mounts for the rear trailing arms. Body rust. Check rockers, front and rear valance, door bottoms, oh forget it, check everything.

I had a 1976 TR6 when I was a senior in high-school. Not long after getting the car I was sitting in it, checking things out and when I pulled the knob for the flashers, there was a sizzling sound and some smoke started coming out from around the knob. I quickly pushed the knob in and never pulled it out again!!!!

I own this here in France. 1972 Triumph Stag. 3 litre V8 convertible. Possibly one of the worst engines fitted into an automobile. Sounds really nice though.
