Just in case y'all want to go for a ride along through my neck of the woods, I found this video and a part 2 video as well. He is heading south in this one. Sent from my SM-S916U using Tapatalk |

This is part 2 of the video from above. He goes through some of Opelika in this one. Ride along and enjoy the snow. Sent from my SM-S916U using Tapatalk |
The neighbor's snowman is still standing guard, but his head is smaller, and his arms are on the ground. It is supposed to rain tonight, so I figure the rain is going to do him in. You've been a faithful soldier, Sir Snowman, now you shall return from whence you came, only to guard another day (maybe in about 10 years or so). Fare thee well, Sir Snowman!!! https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...d851dbbda6.jpg

It has been so cold all week that after all that snowfall I was still able to shovel a place on my pond for the boys to play hockey and the ice under the snow was nearly perfect.

Our "ice age" is over ... it's 39 degrees .... still plenty of salt on the roads in places ... is it too early to get "spring fever"?
I don't need to tell you FB ... but frozen ponds scare the hell outta me ... down here :(. Pets, children, and an adult (trying to save his dog) all died here last week ... tragic. Be safe! |
These three are always around. Good thing there's a use for the hay wagon in the off season.

The temperature made it up to 31 today! It’s been so cold here for so long the snowmen aren’t melting, they’re dying of old age.
|
We got to mid 40’sF today, although very windy. I washed my car in the driveway this afternoon.
No snow in the near forecast. |
There should reasonably be two more months of it.
The cold helps reduce invasive bugs etc. Hope we don't get an indian summer followed by heavy late frost, ruining the fruit crops. |
Another 5 inches today, school canceled through most of Nova Scotia. I had an appointment at the other end of the Valley. Glad I got home before the wind started moving the snow around.
Will be clear and cold tonight with more snow expected tomorrow. This is starting to remind me of 44 years ago when we got three major snow storms inside a week. Best Les |
We had around 4-5 inches of snow last night mainly because of the drifting. I used the snowblower to clear the driveway. The drifts on the roof are blocking one window on the second floor.
It started snowing again earlier this evening. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1738117137.jpg |
We still have salt on the roads .... it will be in the upper 60s today .... I might wear shorts :D
|
I'll be happy with a day of winds under 20mph. We have had a lot of sunny days, but terrible windy.
Tomorrow says way less wind, sunny and 44....I'll take that.:) |
Perfect winter day today....sunny and 47
Almost no wind...until late afternoon. |
We had quite a cold down here snap here yesterday. It was 29 degrees when I got up in the morning. Went out to get in the truck after lunch and the temperature had dropped over 1000 degrees. Truck started right up. Gotta love a Tundra.

^^^ lol....we're much warmer, but 4-6 inches of new snow over night. Had to get the snowblower out again this morning.
|
54 degrees and sunny today. Just got back from Cars and coffee.
|
A wild windy day yesterday. 50mph gusts with plenty of loose snow made for no visibility at times, even though it didn't snow at all.
Winds strong enough to shut down the Mackinac Bridge. Calling for heavy snow this weekend. |
It was 75 two days ago ... I'm writing a new book...
"The Winter Of Our Content" :D |
Washing and waxing cars today.
