Damn Canucks! Keep your weather up there! (j/k, no offense intended)

We had temps in the 80s last week. We were 35º yesterday morning. Tomorrow is supposed to be 70º. Thu morning they are predicting a low of 19º! WTF!

We're exporting as much cold as we can before the tariffs are applied...

-25 deg C here this morning... I think over two weeks of cold weather in an otherwise mild winter.
Fine light snow overnight again. The temperature and the snow are making the main roads extremely greasy. Calcium chloride not very effective at this temperature.

We finally got some snow Friday night into Saturday. It's been really dry here. 0.03" of precipitation in all of January and the first part of February.

I'm just glad it's relatively warm today: 15F and the sun is shining, so that I can clean up the snow that blew back into the driveway last night before the cold hits. Tonight's forecast is -7, high of 0 tomorrow, -16 tomorrow night, 7 on Tuesday, -10 Tuesday night. It's supposed to start warming up Wednesday and predicted to be in the 40's next week. For the most part, it's been a pretty warm winter so far, but we need more snow / rain.

We got about 3" this morning. Some of it melted off but it is going to be very cold for the next week so what is left is here to stay.

Ours isn’t even fully melted and we are supposed to get another 6-10” this week and temps below 0. Canada’s weather is drunk and wandered down south again.

^^^ Dang, that’s a lot of snow!

Ms Rocket is a traveling nurse and she’s in New Hampshire for the next three months. A lot of snow got dumped right after she arrived.

This is her house for the next three months.

Factor in some 35-40 mile anour winds with 0-ish temps and you'll have what we have up here.

We've been getting just enough snow to keep messing up the ice on our pond. The ice itself is deeper than the 6" auger I use to check depth. But the frequent 3-4 inches snowfalls followed by daytime temps just above freezing and bright sunshine just messes up the surface for skating.

I'm very ready for spring.

Yea, and in August you horde all that cool air when we would love to get some!

Now saying 6" tomorrow night. That means somewhere between 3 and 9" I think. In 2 weeks it will likely be 70 degrees.

It's been weird, the last two storms have dumped on Ontario, Quebec and New Brunswick, but we got small amounts of snow followed by ice pellets and some freezing rain.
I wrote this last month. The tune is close to "Put All Your Faith In The Pill" from the '60s.

Can I tell you that I don't like Winter
I don't like to ski or to skate
The scenery's pretty, but the weather's unpleasant
In fact it's the cold that I hate

Ch: Oh it's a fine day for a penguin
Sliding on snow and on ice
I'm not that bold when the weather gets cold
But the penguins all think it's quite nice

When I rise up in the morning
I gaze out the window in awe
At the snow in great drifts that I'll have to shift
Unless I can wait for a thaw
Ch

And I can't say I like winter clothing
The layers are bulky and itch
When driving your car you might not get far
Before you wind up in the ditch
Ch

Oh I just can't wait for the Springtime
Can't wait for the winter to pass
When the change in the scenery brings beautiful greenery
And winter can just kiss my ...
Ch

Best
Les

Barrie has a lot more snow than us.
The past few years we got off lucky snow wise. This year’s snowfall was the norm years ago.
Today I cleared the snow off the canopy on our deck. Second time in 5 days.
