We get a variety of birds at our bird feeders - pileated woodpeckers, bowlegged coathangers, etc - but so far we've not seen a flat-heeled squat.

The diddly squat also comes when it wants too.

I'm not trying it, but I don't know why not. But bursting back up after 15 minutes would be a 'slow' burst.

Oh I get it. I do realize you’re in better shape than most at your…ahem… vintage

But your statement is applicable to say “doing a plank”. Easy to do. Staying there? Different effort entirely. I squat to wash my dog. If it takes awhile, getting up gracefully (and silently) is more of a challenge …ahem….with my level of PATINA.

Yesterday I spent about an hour recurving early decklid grille ribs. So squatting down to pound the hell out of the tooling with a 2.5 lb sledge, pulling the tooling apart and rib out and standing up times about 20 when all is said and done.

So glad I've been able to maintain an active lifestyle to do that with no pain and end up a little more loose today. If you have a desk job or similar, I can't imagine going through life without some kind of exercise.
