Now, there are TWO cities that love Marchand. He earned his place on the team for sure.

I think the 2nd goal near the end of the 1st period took the energy out of the Oilers . Panthers earned the win and the cup . Congratulations

Goalie Bob & the rest of the Cats were - flat-out - the better team. Next year's version of the "oinklers" have to find a new netminder before McDavid & Draisaitl start to look elsewhere for a cup. Four out of the last six cup finals were won by Florida teams. Have a good summer Gents

No Oilers fan here. Was disappointed that they went out with out much of a fight in game 6.

Second place is the first loser.... So the Oilers came in first with that.
They do have some talent and when those (1.5) lines bring the pressure they are very hard to defend against. Hardly a team that was designed to win at the cup level.

Florida was bringing it with all 4 lines. Great team effort and very well coached.

8 Canadians on the Florida roster.
5 Americans
4 Finns
2 Russians
2 Czechs
1 Swede, German and Latvian

So in a way, the folks from north of the 49th still win the cup...

Calgary misses Sam Bennet probably more than Tkachuk but there is always next year for the Flames. Hopefully some more well engineered trades and great draft picks will move on the rebuild. They missed the playoffs in the last week of the regular season ending up with 96 points. Not bad for a crew that was predicted to be competing for the #1 draft pick this past season.

Marchand was arguably the best player of the 2025 Stanley Cup Final. He scored in four of the six games, including the winning goal in overtime of Game 2, and a two-goal performance in a dominant Game 5. He is just the second player since 1968 to score five-plus goals in multiple Cup Final series.

Marchand finished the playoffs with 20 points (10 goals, 10 assists) in 23 games. His 158 career points in the playoffs are the second-most of any player since he made his NHL debut in the 2009-10 campaign. Only three players in the history of the sport have more postseasons with 10-plus points than Marchand, and they are Wayne Gretzky, Mark Messier and Jean Beliveau.

As McDavid said, The Oilers just kept doing the same thing over and over again and it didn't work.

Panthers were a better team in everyway.
