wipe or wash?

Since dislocating my shoulder back in late January I've been taking care of my morning dirty business with my off hand. Getting pretty good at it, and in fact my L4 & L5 like the stretch the other way it seems.

Considering a bidet but have a few concerns. Since my house is older the nearest outlet for power would require an extension cord, prolly like 7' worth. The last thing I wanna do is give my crazy ass babe a cord to throw in the shower while I'm making things fresh. I hide the knives when she's over and salty. Really.

Seems like most are bulky making you sit up high and the target diminishes significantly. Like my feet on the ground when growling,,
My pops swears by his, so what you all got? Charmin or a warm splash of water to cleanse the chocolate starfish?

TIA

I do have GFI outlets so maybe she can't toss in the cord if she's mad?

We just did a full remodel in our new to us home (3 1/2 years) and we added electrical outlets low and behind each of the toilets for just what you are experiencing. We do not want extension cords anywhere. It was not a big deal; cut open sheetrock, add electrical, have drywall repaired and then paint.

my dog ate something fibrous. he was pooping. he got the biggest dingleberry coming out of his butt. he actually looked at me for help. I put a baggie over my hand and reached down and plucked it from his rear end. it came out with a "pop". trouble is there was a smaller dingle on the other end and it swung beyond the protective plastic sheet of the baggie and banged against my wrist with a warm, moist kiss. I groaned and bundled up the package and tossed it into the garbage nearby. a lady walking by laughed at me and offered me a tissue. this was beyond simply dabbing at it with a Kleenex. nope..I jogged the entire distance I already made and went back home and hit the area with water, and soap. some messes just need a wash.

I have Toto Washlet toilets in all my bathrooms. I am never going back to just squeegee-cleaning my ass with a tissue. unless I poop at Home Depot or something like a barbarian.

Costco tp but if it’s really messy, follow it up with Costco baby wipes. If it’s worse than that, jump in the shower.

I put one of those bidet seats on the toilet in the master bath for my wife. She calls it "the best Christmas present ever." I never use it. Since it's in a "water closet" next to the wash basins, where there are electrical outlets, I just installed an outlet in the water closet.

Agreed, Toto Washlet. Cleaning any other way is barbaric

I tried using one in my hotel in Korea and don’t really get it. Seemed like it would get me sorta clean but not 100%? Maybe my bidet skills are weak?

My dog calls this poopy-butts. When it happens, he freezes up and stands there in the yard and he looks back at his butt, then at me and then back at his butt. I didn’t have kids and diapers to deal with so I guess I made out ok and I do what I gotta do. This is why I have a T-shirt that says “world best dad” I wear often.

I also used the ones in my hotel rooms when I was in Korea. I had never used a bidet before. I found the experience to be interestingly refreshing. The Courtyard by Marriott in Seoul that I stayed at had a better bidet with more features than the one in my room at Rolling Hills.

Had a frozen shoulder on my rt side about 12 years ago. Learned to wipe with my left. Still do it today...until I had frozen shoulder on the lt side. I am now an ambidexterous wiper.

After my back surgery we. Got a rig that looks like a toilet seat on legs that we put in the shower. Our shower has a hose with a spray head, so if you don’t have that this wouldn’t work. It’s was supposed to be so I could just take a shower, but I had the same problem as you so I also used it for “other” things.

I installed a fancy Kohler seat on my Kohler toilet for the wife. Heated seat, fore and aft bidet, blow dry, the works. She loves it. I cut in a new outlet (GFI) right next to the toilet as the directions say 32" disfance from the toilet max. The instructions specifically say no extention cord.
