Ever since they caught him I have wondered if he might be responsible for unsolved killings in PA or NJ...
Possible, right? To be able to calmly sneak into a house at 4:00 am and murder four people in cold blood would seem like it had been done before somewhere by him in one way or another.

I shouldn't, but I listen to a podcast about serial killers and you would be surprised how many there actually have been and are currently existing out there today...

What I don't understand is why the state agreed to make a plea deal instead of execution. Yes, death penalty takes years and is very expensive but, 50 years of imprisonment of a high profile case will cost a lot more.

Question: I l know the deal says Kohberger cannot have the possibility of parole and waiving all appeals but can he get a pardon from some future wacko politician?

Chris McDonough, director of the "Cold Case Foundation" and a retired homicide detective, joins "Banfield" to discuss Bryan Kohberger getting the misery treatment from his fellow inmates, not even two weeks into his prison sentence.

I heard that he is being held in 'solitary confinement' for that reason.

Don't know how long that will continue...but only one hour outside/day with a guard.

For instance, Menendez brothers. There's "new" evidence, and oh, they've been model prisoners. They shoulda been offed decades ago, now they might get paroled.

The prison guards are told who is the golden goose. They won't let you kill that goose.
He will walk and talk around as he sees fit.
The state took away any degree of justice for purely financial reasons.

If all the father's were to donate to every commissary account in the prison, you might have a chance he gets hurt

Idaho is the only state that authorizes firing squad as its primary method of execution

I doubt the other inmates will look at him as any kind of hero. I predict he hangs himself.

Bottom line is you can't allow victims or their families drive the train. They are so invested in the outcome and can't possibly weigh the evidence, strength or weakness of the case, and the possibility that a jury could do something crazy. There could literally been a trial and him gotten the same result at sentencing.

I know of a case where the defendant killed 2 people and confessed. He offered to plea in exchange for life with the possibility of parole. The two victim families objected to him ever being eligible for parole. Thee case went to trial where his confession was suppressed. He was found Not Guilty. So be careful letting victims and their family determine how a case will proceed.

Pardon? Assuming Idaho has that option for the Gov but I can't imagine someone doing it.

There is no undoing the past. He should be studied extensively and as soon as possible. Perhaps there is something to be learned from the thoughts he believed reasonable leading to his actions. After that, into the gen. pop. he goes.
