I always liked a fedora or a cowboy hat, but I can’t pull it off.

Probally because it’s too small.

That's very cool! Mine are very similar, just light grey and not nearly as pretentious tho' :D

And what is this John Deer/Cowboy hat rule in AZ? I don't get out much....

I pondered on the AZ hat rule too. I'm guessing that means if you show up to a bar in rural AZ, you had better be wearing one or the other, but that's just a guess.

If only I could utilize it…🤪

I have hats up the wazoo. Probably close to 30 plus.
Funny thing is, I I hate wearing a hat unless I absolutely have to.
As far as sun hats go, I have a number of boonies, which
work great. A couple of Panamas.
But , my absolutely favorite hat for the sun is my genuine Amish straw hat. Awesome job of keeping the sun off lightweight and breathes well.

My inner voice when I think I might buy a nice hat:

Your right, Farmers and Ranchers having been none to keen on each other for a long time in the Palo Verde valley of AZ & CA. I'm sure its the same elsewhere.

BTW the first step of BS is Hey ;)
