Wide brim hats that don’t look dorky

My doctor tells me that I need to start wearing wide brim hats. I’ve been wearing trucker hats since I was able to put one on.

Most bucket hats look stupid. I don’t want to look like Tim the Toolman Taylor’s neighbour. I also don’t want to look like I’m pretending to be on a safari.

One option is a cowboy hat… lots of citiots wear these tho. I don’t want to look like a dime store cowboy.

What do you guys wear?

I'm out then...

Doesn't matter on my head :D

I wear trucker hats when I need a hat, but generally I hate having anything on my head. Buckets hats just are what they are IMO….functional, but yeah, they aren’t gonna look good.

Cowboy hat. You can get 'em with, without, or varying amount,of roll to the brim.

^^^ I agree . That's what I wear when mowing the yard.

I've got two (now) of the stiff wide brim up front and the floppy around the back ... soak 'em in hot weather ...

No 'effen way could I do a coboy hat, etc. that doesn't breath. I didn't start wearing even a ball cap until I was mid-40s ... always in the sun :(.

Got mine at ??? ... TS, Lowes, etc. tried one, grabbed another one later ... 20-25 bucks.

Should have done it over 5 decades ago ... live & learn :D

While working in Australia, I fell in love with Akubra hats. Kind of like the Stetson of Australia. Look them up.

Tilley makes lots of brimmed hats with various widths of brim and in various styles and colors.
The "airflo" models have mesh around the top edge to help keep you cool

I vote cowboy hat for least dorky. Or a straw one if you’re sitting on the beach at a tiki bar.

Baz got it right. Not dorky and poseur like a cowboy hat - assuming you’re not a cowboy.

Save your skin and look like a dork. Do you care? Nobody else does, they know.
