Yeah, I was a hater....until I bought a Road King. Great bikes. Currently have a 2012 Road King. Absolutely love it. They are big, athletic bikes.

Or maybe it has already been done?
Most are neglected, and if you throw a vertical level on the front disk and the rear disk, they will show huge differences.
It only has 16k miles but I’ll keep an eye out for that. Thanks.

At my current age, I’m really into the whole cruiser thing and I want to be able to take some longer rides. My old BMW RS is only good for about 2 hours in the saddle before I’m getting sore. Almost all HD bikes have this wonderful lower back support in their seats plus an engine that is just perfect for highway cruising. I’m looking forward to really enjoying the ride.

Very cool! Good job getting rid of that sissy bar, lame. Agree with you on the handlebars, they need to go.

I put 120 miles roundtrip on my Road Glide today just taking it to meet a coworker for lunch and did 1,200 miles over Labor Day Weekend, so yeah they eat the miles up all day long.

I do not know street motorcycles at all...what I can say is that, come what may, that Harley is blessed to be in Speeders tender mercies.

Nice looking bike!
If it idles ok...there is no need to blip the throttle every two seconds at a red light.

I so agree. Throttle blipping is like telling everyone that your machine runs like *****…that you don’t know how to tune it. I’ve never understood it.

With the Vance and Hines exhaust, it’s loud but not obnoxious. I love the *thump thump* of a good Harley but it doesn’t have to be too loud. People can hear you coming. I really try to ride and drive like an adult these days, I’m a geezer FFS.

Gotta love the distinctive potato potato sound at idle.

Eh, it's part of the culture. It's compulsive. I've witnessed one in 100 that doesn't do that and they usually are full on cruisers with a passenger. The other side of the other side.

Bang on your throttle all you like, just don't blast the stereo loud enough to hear for blocks. We get that down the street by the bar.

Welcome to the steel rodeo.

^^^ The last bike I owned was a Honda CB 900 4cyl

I don't remember ever doing that at a light.

I must say that I’m enjoying cleaning it up and detailing, the chrome and other finishes they use are very high quality. A little #0000 steel wool and some metal polish brings the chrome back:

I hated that seat paired up with that blacksmith-level sissy bar. I'm thinking now it doesn't look too bad.

All the ones for sale around here have ape hangers already fitted. I'll post a link to the Police - Proceeds of Crime auction shortly.
