My father passed away in 1972. I've seen his grave maybe 3 times since it's 150 miles away so seems kind of a waste but on the other hand, there's a somewhat permanent record. Same with my other relatives.

My last wishes call for cremation and spreading of ashes but I've been reconsidering being cremated and placed next to mom after she dies. Small hole in the ground and small plaque.

I'm a cyclist so the ghost bikes really hit home for me. I pass one every day on the way to work. I didn't know the rider but I had ridden with him before and kind sort of still see his face. He was killed around 8am on a Saturday morning. Hit by a drunk driver. The only way she got caught was because she almost hit a police car a few minutes later and the cop put 2 and 2 together and stopped her. I have seen annual tributes with his cycling club stopping on bikes and paying their respects.

I choose non of the above.
Both of my parents were cremated and the ashes scattered.
I want the same.

Not only do I talk to them, but they talk to me too depending on what is happening in my life

Same here, especially in my dreams.

I have what I guess you would call a small "shrine" to my dog, Madison. It has her ashes, her favorite ball, and one of my favorite pictures of her. It sits on the dresser in my bedroom. It's been three years and 3 months since that day that I held her while she took her last breath. Some days I still can't believe she's gone.

We visit my parents masoleum and I talk to them. Hopefully someone will do the same for my wife and I. Our masoleum is in the same cemetery but a different building.

We lost my older sister in July after a one month diagnosis of cancer. We have been to her masoleum and I talk, mostly telling her how angry I am.

We have some similar stuff from our pup, but we don't have it on display. I do have his picture as the background on my PC and a photo with him and one of the grandsons on my phone.

The closest I come to talking to the dead or visiting a grave-site is lighting a candle (for Grandma Emma) whenever I find myself inside a Catholic church . She was a devout Catholic but I am not. I love the architecture, the pomp a circumstance and uplifting spirit so it's a pretty common ocurance.

We have this memorial for Bentley in my den on the piano. He is buried in the backyard just inside the wooded area in a private spot behind an Azalea. I used to visit my Grandparent's graves when I was younger because I thought it was the thing to do. I haven't been there in many years since my Granny passed away but I think of them very often as I have many things that belonged to them. I used to see them in my dreams from time to time and even wrote down a dream I had where I was talking to my Pawpaw and I wanted to remember. I haven't seen them in my dreams for a long time.
