Tales from the Lagoon ~ Episode-Shark Bite & Healing, Baby Dolphin Survives
Baby Puff has a story to share… one of healing.
This video follows his early days in the lagoon with his mom, the friendship he forms with another calf, Fin, and the support shared between the moms. When everything shifts after a shark encounter, we witness what unfolds in the days that follow… a quiet journey of healing, connection, and return.

Stay tuned for more tales!

Little gator Gabby and I rescued off a golf course five years ago! We spent four hours trying to rescue this little guy!
If you’re wondering why he couldn’t be left there, someone called it in, and once reported nuisance gators are shot and killed 99.99% of the time. Please understand that if you call in a nuisance gator it will almost always be killed, the state kills 8,000 each year. In this case we were able to work with the local trapper and bring the gator to a local wildlife facility(we didn’t have our own sanctuary yet). Nuisance gators over 4ft cannot legally be released/relocated, this one was 5’3”. Keep in mind that if you call in a gator you do not get to decide who comes for it or where it’ll go, and understand it will almost certainly be euthanized. We get lots of calls asking to come catch a specific gator and unfortunately that’s just not how the system works, we have no ability to respond directly or have any control over the situation, but thankfully we do get to work with some awesome trappers that do allow us to help out sometimes.

Trash pandas are always so entertaining, love it!

Alway on the lookout for an orphaned compost kitty in our neck of the woods. We haven’t seen any raccoons in a long while at our place . Although we are now getting a family of Sierra Flying Squirrels visiting the feeder. Surprising since they are usually found above 3500’. Wicked fast little buggers and hard to catch a peek at them with a flashlight.

Skunks eats bad grubs etc and actually make good pesky pets. If that is your thing.
(If not wild caught, and definitely with scent glands removed)
Beneficial.
Had one living under the front porch when I moved in. Wish it stayed.
-------

Saw a couple in the back yard after that but they went away.

My totally 'vegan/karma' neighbors trap the squirrels and rabbits and other urban wildlife which I tend to feed with the bird feeder.
I live near woods/river.
They even tolerate the songbirds in my yard.
Barely.
------

The world has lost at least half of our songbird population.
Don't get me started on bees and Monsanto.
------

Possums are the gimps of the animal world. Tough as they look.
Threaten them and they fall over and play dead. Pick them up and carry them around. They won't bite.
They can't get rabies. Genetically. Never a threat in any way.
Plus they eat thousands of ticks every night.

This POS is VERY lucky I wasn't there when he did this......he should get not only jail time but also a hefty fine and community service!

This POS needs large rocks thrown at his head. His name should come out, I expect. Looks like the rock missed the seal.
