They spliced in Dire Wolf DNA from ancient bones into Grey Wolfs.
Still 99% modern but 20% bigger.

https://oceanographicmagazine.com/news/more-than-700-dolphins-killed-in-a-single-day-of-faroe-islands-hunts/
In one of the most significant single-day killing events in the history of the Faroe Islands’ dolphin hunts, more than 700 Atlantic white-sided dolphins were driven ashore and killed on Wednesday across three separate drives – surpassing two-thirds of the approximately 1,000 marine mammals killed across the entirety of last year.

In case anyone wanted to see what a moody bearded dragon looks like. He has been shedding and has been Mr Pissy Pants this last week. It’s common when this occurs.

When their chins turn black and they inflate their baggy beard, it means something has them worked up. He was sitting on warm 3/4” rock just warming himself, when Mrs Bugs picked him up to come inside. That’s when he expressed his distaste for such a dastardly deed while sunning himself.

You can file this info under “Worthless chit for $500”

You’re welcome

One scary video which probably deserves its own thread.

I was cutting some vines out of the wooded part of our backyard and came across this tree frog hanging out on the remnants of an old dead vine.

Wholly forking shirtballs, that’s scary!!!!

Carry a noise maker or bear spray at the very least if bears are a remote possibility. Crikey that was a close call.

Very cool find and pics too!!!! It’s amazing when we all take a moment and take the time to look at the small things. We are divers, and it’s always amazing to slow down and look at the small stuff in the ocean.

Very humbling

Yesterday, Mrs Bugs is in our spare room with our grandson when she decided to let Mr Chili have free rein. After a bit of time passes, she realizes she can’t find Chili. So of course, she rolls right past “where is he” to “DEFCON level 4, “He’s missing”

20 minutes go by and now she is really twiterpated. Then we proceed into the closet, deep closet, behind all the G-kids toy boxes, tubs of “summer” clothes(a girl thing), arts n crafts and every other matter of stuff that finds its way into a small area with a door…. Out of sight, out of mind.

And then……
In his defense, it was close to his bed time
