If they had a sense of humor, the gaming sites would offer under/overs on the number of indictments and other related outcomes.

I believe we all make mistakes but I will not validate your poor choices and/or perversions and subsidize the results your actions.

College Gameday not reading the room after a week of hearing about the NBA gambling scandal. First game pick at end of show; Indiana v UCLA. Rather than just pick winner, they were picking whether UCLA would cover the spread.

I get it, NIL has ruined college sports but the betting stuff is crazy out of control.

The on-line sports betting sites have brought gambling to a huge new audience. One no longer needs to live near a casino, or know a bookie, to place a bet...all you need now is a phone. And besides being able to only bet on which team wins a contest, there are many other aspects of a game that can be wagered on. Take the NFL for example: A bet can be placed on how many first downs will be made in a given quarter...over/under on a QB's passing yds, or yds gained by a RB...which team will score first...will the game go into OT...the list is almost endless. And a player doesn't even need to influence the final outcome of a game to profit here. Some of these stats can be easily manipulated, like a RB or receiver faking an injury to sit out for a few plays and hold down the number of yards gained. Seemingly minor occurrences like this can control the flow of millions of dollars one way or another.

With nearly $150BN spent on sports betting last year, and with the amount of $$$ and number of people participating growing each year, it's no wonder that the 'families' have their hand in it. Profit margins are HUGE...running a sports book is almost like having a license to print money.

I went to a family gathering and those zombies were sports betting NFL games in the built out basement. At another, they were sports betting horse races at the min (under a dollar) bets. Of course, they’re all quick to mention the friend that has photo memory of sport statistics and how they won a few hundred thousand a few years ago. These are the types of people that will go to a wedding and loudly watch football at the dining room table as soon as the ceremony is over. It’s a hardcore addiction.

I’ve found that checking out articles like online casino zonder cruk helps me keep a clear picture of what freedoms I’m getting and what safety nets I’m giving up. I usually set my own limits before playing and stick to payment methods I can track easily. Keeping my sessions short and deciding my budget ahead of time saves me from going down a rabbit hole.
