Just got some really wet snow at 35F, temps are dropping and we are supposed to get another couple inches.

I’m going to head out and blow the wet stuff off before it freezes and clear off the car as well.

Was 58 degrees yesterday. Even went for a short motorcycle ride. Today it’s 18° and the wind blowing about 40 miles an hour!

We’ve had freezing rain that turned into rain. It’s been pouring rain most of the day. The temp. is around 34F and will warm up overnight. The trees are covered with ice and are leaning from the added weight. The driveway is a skating rink.
Tomorrow it turns cold with snow, I can hardly wait

^^^ I heard one of the weathermen say a 'cyclone bomb' is dropping north of us.
Your area must be closer to 'ground zero'

Or is it a 'bomb cyclone'?

Rained all day here yesterday. I was going to go ice fishing. Probably be able to fish on top of the ice today. Sump pump is coming on every 15 minutes.

No sense in using the snow blower this morning....snow is coming down sideways pushed by the 35 mph wind.
Fitted up...still can't stand facing the wind...snow freezes to the face instantly.

Yesterday I lost power before the snow/rain even started; I decided to take a nap instead of dealing with anything and I woke to the furnace firing up, so it wasn’t off long and just about twenty minutes ago, I got a phone call and email saying there was an outage in my area that could be affecting me, but luckily I still have power.

Yeah, I feel for those who don't have power and no heat back-up. That wind can drive any warmth out of a house fast.

I have a propane fireplace that is hardly ever used. I keep it just in case of power outage.

Before I just decided to take a nap, I did a quick mental game plan. I figured I could just put ice chunks from the yard in the fridge to keep food fresh, my sump pump has a battery back up- yea, still pumping into the winter!, lastly, figure out a cord whip for the furnace.

I really should just do the mod that I have seen videos for- you instal an outlet on your furnace from the breaker and then put a cord with a plug on your furnace wiring so that in regular use, you just have the furnace plugged into the outlet and if you lose power, you already have a plug to hook up your generator to.

Snowed sideways off/on here most of the day with 50 mph winds. It’s bitterly cold here as well. Probably for the rest of the week it’s going to be like this. Hopefully the wind will subside.

I've been sidelined with sinus stuff from all of the temperature fluctuations. Our low here tonight is 27 degrees. The high tomorrow is 44 with another low of 27.

Forecast is for a week of warmer weather with little snow...that's ok.
