Usually an Amazon fan

But last night I dame near lost it. Earlier this week I got off COMCAST for internet and TV at $260 a month and horrible customer service going to Starlink & Youtube TV. Ordered a Ruko stick as to not have to use my smart TV remote with 50 or so non illuminated buttons at night with crummy eyes and no patience to learn all those button commands. The Ruko seems very simple remote wise and that in and of itself is worth the $30.

So got the Starlink Wifi all set up with my devices, well except the HP printer which I had to call customer support to get working wirelessly like it was under Comcast. Welp got to plug the Ruko in last night to the TV and it shows Fire TV loading which did not giving an error message. It did not dawn on me as a problem until sometime later. After an hour thinking my TV would not recognize the new Wifi (which ultimately it was) I looked over the Ruko box after unplugging it from the TV and looking closer it had the Amazon smile/arrow emblem on it!! WTH? Looking closer at the remote a couple of the button emblems were a bit worn, now I go to WTF mode from WTH... Googled a few things and was informed that returned items to amazon that do not appear to be opened will often be sent back out with little to no scrutiny. It dawns on me at that point somebody with a failed Firestick ordered a Ruko, neatly repackaged the FS in the Ruko box and returned it to them only to have the broken junk sent to me!

Organized a return through Amazon last night and called customer service telling them my pissed off ness and after a 20 minute phone call they are giving me the original $35 return credit and a $30 additional credit to my Amazon account. I have more time than money usually, but the frustration levels last night were not healthy for 30 bucks. Here is the photo I took and sent to Amazon that helped my get that 30.

Rant over, thank you for your attention in this matter.

Yeah that’s pretty messed up. Glad they at least gave you something for your trouble.

I ordered a Philips Hue "lily" 3-piece starter outdoor light kit for $2xx which was cheaper than usual,

I received a hue lily 3-piece starter kit that was very obviously opened and had been in someone's garden for quite some time! Everything opened, covered in dirt, and the lenses of the lights already yellowed.

Returned the same day and I received an actual brand new one one day later.

I got nothing bad to say about Amazon at all but the turd who craftily returned the seriously used merchandise could use a rough-up.

I have grown more than a little suspicious about Amazon quality. It is a merchandizing behemoth and quality control must be a nightmare. I've received more garbage than good quality items and no longer purchase certain types of items from there. Electronics in particular.

Things do get by. I ordered a video cam a few years back from a 3rd party seller and it was a dud. Really not Amazon's fault, that one. But I remember the address on the return label was Las Vegas whereas the cam came from FL.

Who knows?

I used a 4K Fire Stick for a couple years...until I sold it and bought a new 65" tv.
I really liked the thing...I would buy another, but the new tv's don't need them.

This^^^! This turd even went so far as to remove the round, clear sticky deal that shows the product box had not been open and reapplied it to hide his sin... Went to Walmart today and bought another Roku unit and upon opening it there was that protection film all over all the pieces that had to be removed. If I recall dude even put a wire twisty around the cord in the box having folded it very neatly.

I've been using my smart TV app stuff and remote for the last couple days but as I said waaay too many buttons to learn. The Roku and Fire Stick I got in the Roku box have such a simple remote I was all in. I stayed with Comcast for way too long to not go through all this changing over frustration, but for $120 a month in savings I had to do it.

If y'all were not aware you don't need to pony up for the 4-500 dollar in for Starlink equipment any longer, they rent it to you for $0 a month. I was $21 for it to be shipped to me and getting 100 MBPS for $50 a month.
