Anyone using a TPMS bypass?
Does anyone have any experience with the OBD bypass tool for the TPMS system?
I just talked to my tire guy. They want $100 EACH for TPMS sensors. I have an air compressor right beside my car. I keep the tires at optimum pressure all the time. I don't need this stupid light. The warning light is driving me nuts, and I'd like to get rid of it for less than $400. I'm afraid my options are: Put a piece of tape over the light. Get a TPMS bypass thing to plug into the OBD port. Pay $400 to not have to look at the light again.

$40 a year if they last 10 years.

The A premium ones from Amazon are $45 and work fine in my Cayenne. Make sure you get ones correctly preprogramed for your car. Find a cooperative tire shop-they just need to break the bead to install, not dismount and rebalance. Lots of shops have a "code" that is stupid expensive.
True story-recently had 4 trailer tires dismounted/mounted. First local shop looked at their computer-280 bucks! My NTW is my go to, the manager there did them for 20 bucks per, and no disposal fee.

When I got new tires on my Cayenne at Discount Tire I paid $21 each for new TPMS sensors.
