A 22 pistol would have been effective and much cheaper.

All this money, chair and a team of people has to be paid to perform such ugly task. How about just a bullet to the head, old fashion firing squad. Done. A lot of people forget she killed someone, maybe that's why she's being put away? MAny of the public seem to like to forget the victim's and their families suffering.

I'm always mystified as to how these executions can get screwed up. Maybe botched on purpose as some sort of protest against the death penalty???

Fentanil or CO... not that difficult. The drugs used currently are supposedly harder to get.

just call it a late term abortion and those that typically object to capital punishment will be on board

THat was my thought as well. How do you screw that up twice unless you're incompetent, given faulty drugs, or doing it intentionally.

I'd never heard of her, so read the wikipedia page on her. she even admitted that she did it.

They sent her to the hospital instead, so that she could be more alive to get killed again.
Isn’t that a form of torture?

The Chinese use a shot to the back of the head, then harvest organs.

This is the first I have heard of her from this thread. I have no sympathy for people like that. Bullet to the head, family can take care of her after if they wish. If not, ship her body off to some place to be buried. Nothing special, just a record of her death. Save us tax payer money so we can spend it on the homeless. Muhahaha

She’s obviously a demon.
She won’t die. You can’t even kill it. |

It needs to be a speedy trial and a speedy execution. A bullet to the back of the head will be reliable, fast and cheap. |

It takes forever, costs us millions and jams up the courts. Only the lawyers benefit. And why kill em and let them off the hook anyway? Let them rot in jail and suffer for the rest of their miserable lives. It's a much worse punishment to be abused in prison every day and know you're going to die there

We have lost sight of the fact that we execute as much to punish them as to protect us. Not so much from the individual in question, but from others considering the same actions. As such, we need to make it as brutal and unsympathetic as possible. Lethal injection failed? Meh. There are plenty of other ways, all of which can be employed immediately. We just don't have the stomach for it anymore.

Execution is a valuable deterrent to violent crime? Maybe, but I pulled this off the internet asking the question:
Execution has not proved to be a deterrent to violent crime, according to comprehensive reviews and major research organizations. The National Institute of Justice reports that there is no proof the death penalty deters criminals, noting that research evaluated by the National Academy of Sciences remains uninformative about whether capital punishment impacts homicide rates. Surveys of leading criminologists show that roughly 88% reject the idea that the death penalty lowers murder rates or serves as an effective deterrent. |

As a result of the Nuremberg trials there were several botched executions.
AI Overview The executions of ten condemned Nazi leaders on October 16, 1946, at the Nuremberg Prison gymnasium were botched because the drop calculations were flawed and the trapdoors were too small. Key Details of the Executions • Executioner: Master Sergeant John C. Woods carried out the hangings, assisted by Joseph Malta and Billy Ford. • Trapdoor Injury: The trapdoor openings on the gallows were built too small, causing several men—including Wilhelm Keitel and Wilhelm Frick—to strike their heads on the edges of the platform during the drop rather than falling cleanly through. • Slow Strangulation: Due to improper drop lengths and faulty technique, many of the condemned did not die instantly from a broken neck, resulting in prolonged deaths by strangulation that lasted anywhere from 14 to 28 minutes. • Notable Absence: Hermann Göring avoided the gallows by committing suicide in his cell using a smuggled capsule of potassium cyanide just hours before the executions were scheduled to begin.
