Bull Terriers were not bred to fight.

Am I the only one that finds the new way of quoting confusing? Looking above, it looks as if I'm the one who is being quoted when in fact, it's Mule. Weird.

Anyway......

That is not the information I have. Here is but one of many websites confirming what I've said.

http://www.bullterrier.kiev.ua/bullterriers/bullterriershistory.html

Do not think I agree with Sammy. I love dogs. I considered getting a Bull Terrier. I narrowed it down to Bull Terrier, Bull Mastiff, American Bulldog, and Bouvier Des Flandres. Our main criteria was that they are good with children. I can't even recall why we ended up with the Bouvier, but I'm happy to have them and they are very good with children.

Just because they were bred to do something 100 + years ago does not mean they are predisposed to violence. As I stated earlier, Terriers, in general, are not other animal friendly.

The picture of the bear by the rock was closest. The bear didn't see me (I was sitting on the rock). The bear lumbered through the brush and splashed into the river directly behind me. We were both startled. I could have touched her with my fly rod.

New ATTS Scores Put Pit Bulls on Top in 2006 Testing for Stability

Once again, pit bulls ranked in the top ten percent in the American Temperament Test Society test, which measures a dog's stability in several real life situations. Pit bulls beat out Golden Retrievers by a whisker in 2006 with a score of 84.1% compared to the Goldens' score of 83.8%.[/QUOTE]
