Damn i knew that,... The first year monoshock was black swing arm, the alum one came out in 77, but what threw me on his was the metal tank. I had a 78 that had a plastic tank. i was thinking his was a 77, or a ' pre production' 78, since he had a factory ride.

My YZ-80 had the black swingarm but I cant remember if the tank was metal or plastic.
