I'll hang with these guys...nothing to fear from rednecks then, right?

Introducing the 16 - D RapidFire Nail Gun by DeWalt. It can drive a 16-D nail through a 2 X 4 at 200 yards. This makes construction a breeze, you can sit in your lawn chair and build a fence. Just get the wife and kids to hold the fence boards in place while you sit back, relax with a cold drink, when they have the board in the right place just fire away. With the hundred round magazine, you can build the fence with a minimum of reloading. After a day of fence building with the new DeWalt RapidFire nail gun, the wife will not ask you to fix or build anything else.

pwd72,
remember the scene in Easy Riders of them crossing the 2 lane bridge? that was filmed here. riding down the old black top road, they passed some old slave quarters houses and one house had a blue door? an old friend grew up in that house. it's about 1/4 mile away from my house. My sister swears she got a ride on the Captain America bike, I believe the scene with the imported rednecks and the shotgun was shot on that same road next to the levee.

Damn...that's history! Looking at the road surface in that pic...I can only imagine how stiff the ride was in those hardtails. I have the movie on tape...maybe I should play it soon. Those M-60 rounds? .30 cal.? The rusted cases...scary.

from WWII. 50-60 years of light corrosion... no big deal!. hanging them on your fireplace for 15+ years... Darwin Award candidate!
edit.. Paul, I didn't mean to imply that picture you posted was taken down here. We don't have brown anything down here and certainly no desert areas.. We could only hope to have roads as smooth as the one in your picture.

John - which bridge? the old US-190 one at Krotz Springs?

cafe scene shot at False River, iirc

the film is a lot more scary when it looks like a documentary of where and when you grew up...

The one here in Morgan City on 90 and the old blacktop is Spanish Trail which runs along the Teche in Berwick. my mother is from Krotz Springs though and I've been on that bridge as a child. didn't they blow it up real good ages ago and drop it in the river? my father asked me to fly there in his seaplane to watch but missed it.
