Sorry, I've no idea where in Texas, but south seems plausible. There have been some rumors that they were taken in Seguin, Llano, and Rock Springs, but those are easy to discredit. My brother emailed them to me.

Nice telescope. Even at 2.8, shooting something that big hand-held is crazy. It weighs 35 pounds and has its own battery.
