I can't even imagine what caused that. I had a broken keyboard controller once that would print seemingly random text on the screen when you hit a button but that is a new kind of special.

I've seen that before. In my case it was caused by a bad video card.

Stop! Don't do any repairs - I've just figured out what's wrong with it. The spark plug leads are disconnected.
