Is that from the West side toward Kayenta, AZ or the East side Bluff, UT. It has been so long since I've been there - early 80's when we were putting $5,000 ten foot satellite systems in hogans with generators. All the Navajos would gather around as we tuned it in and back then we always ran across a porn channel in doing so !!! lol The indians would really CHEER !!!

That's from the East... or Northeast, to be exact.

Monument Valley is an impressive piece of real estate... I found it much more interesting and compelling than the Grand Canyon.

We stayed the night in Mexican Hat UT. That is right at the edge of the reservation. We came in from the natural bridges national park the day before. We drove across the Loneliest Highway in America the day before. I think it was Hyw 50. It is a desolate but beautiful area. There are areas where I ran triple digits for 30 minutes at a time before my wife yelled "Slow down!"

Ramdom Photo, the pope getting a head job.

Sunset Carson was visiting in Jackson, Mississippi, in the early ‘50s when he was approached by one of the city’s newspaper owners and asked to visit the man’s son at their home. The son, a big fan of Sunset’s, had broken his leg and was housebound therefore unable to see Sunset while the cowboy was in town. Sunset agreed to visit the boy at his home. As you can see in the above picture, Sunset had his rifle with him and allowed the boy to hold the rifle for the picture. What Sunset failed to do was twofold. First he forgot to unload the rifle or to even tell the boy the rifle was loaded. What you don’t see is the boy firing the rifle and wounding Sunset in the leg. The photo below shows the results as Sunset is being carried to an ambulance headed for the hospital. Moral of the story: Never allow anyone to play with a loaded gun. (The Jackson, MS, CLARION LEDGER photographer at the time was Cliff Bingham whose daughter, Marjorie Bowron, saved these photos and passed them on to Danny Brown of Blairsville, GA.)

I was heart broken as a kid when a bad guy rolled a rock off a cliff and it hit the Cisco Kid, Duncan Renaldo, I sent him a get well while he was in the hospital and back then these guys responded.
