I agree. I'd have been either screaming or barfing or peeing my pants! Is the island in the pic Alcatraz? I have a childhood buddy who flew F-111's back in the 70's...he's often said he wishes he could have given me a ride. I'm glad it never happened. :)

The story that went with the pix said it was still alive. No way to corroborate that.

My 944 used to do that, too. Smelled sweet like burning antifreeze. So how do you think the Blue Angels blew all of their head gaskets simultaneously?
