Aren't those pictures from a car meeting in Japan, I saw a program on it, and it was a big thing on the other side of the Pacific.

Before I had a 911, I had a Honda ST1100 motorcycle. I really liked the red paint, but the Honda stickers didn't do much for me. So, I put PORSCHE stickers on instead.
What a hoot. Everybody (except other ST1000 owners) thought it was the real deal. Only one guy was sharp enough to ask, "Well, if this is a Porsche motorcycle, why does it have a Honda "H" on the oil filler cap?" :D http://www.mindspring.com/~sonogirl/...rsche_bike.jpg |

I was getting ready for work when I looked out the window and saw the utility company starting to erect a pole in front of my house. they were going to position it directly in front of my picture window. No way, absolutely no way was I going to permit this. I gulped down my last bit of coffee and went directly to the crew supervisor and told him in no uncertain terms that I was not going to permit his crew to put that stupid electrical pole directly in front of my picture window. He took out a plat map, a map for pole locations and a right of way document and explained that it is the best location for it. I told him it is not the best location for me and when I came home from work that day I did not want to find that pole in front of my window. I told him I didn't give a hoot where he put it but not in front of my window. I felt pretty smug as I drove off to work because I felt I got my point across. I know darn well they are afraid to put it there now.... Ahhh..... the feeling of power............ And then, I got home...

Ronin,
1/4 pound of C4 would take care of that problem! As well you would have a winters worth of firewood to boot! JoeA |

Didn't take the shot Ronin. BUt I'd love to see the DTM cars run sometime. The technology is nothing short of F1.

I have this episode as an MPG if anyone wants it.

Her dad ran a Minneapolis bank in the '70's and was a pretty well funded amateur who ran quite a few Can Am races. I was in awe of the guy when I was a kid. He later dominated SCCA club racing in the midwest (Brainerd and Road America in particular) in some of the old big block classes (ASR, and also in his A Production Corvettes). He was, I think the winningest amatuer in SCCA history at one point in his bright orange #44 cars. Brainerd, '71: http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1113230092.jpg Hansen sitting on the right, with Carl Haas and Jackie Stewart the same year: http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1113230165.jpg Tim |
