I thought it was Ed, but we can call it Julie...
Another rarity: http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1130261523.jpg |
Looks like the love child of a Beeskow and a Dannehauer & Stauss. Some post-war VW-based home/coachbuilt?
I have book on these somewhere... Quote:

Could be - I forgot about them.

My info with the pic says: "195x VW/Dannenhauser-Straus Cabriolet" I protest! http://www.spiegel.de/auto/aktuell/0,1518,grossbild-325435-284998,00.html http://gutefahrt.com/special.html http://www.thesamba.com/vw/archives/dic/d.php Dannenhauser-Straus' were generally more rounded, especially in the rear. Drews are more slab-sided, like the car in your image. |

That part of SE Arizona is a "totally pure" area from an electrical emissions standpoint, so a lot of radar and siglint work is done there. All of the F-117 RCH work was done there as was the drone work. After they got finished with it they said that a bumblebee had a larger RCH than the plane or drone! Finally a good result of our tax dollars at work. We enjoyed working with the SR- birds that came and went. Always landed at night and took off before morning to keep the Soviet satellites from picking them up on the ground. Awsome full AB takeoffs that lit up the area for a long time. Anyway, fly safe and good talking with you... JoeA |
Okay... notfarnow, I relent. I have to admit that the Drews you linked to most closely fit the pic I posted; even having the same door shape. My picture must be mis-labelled, but I will corerct it. (damned air-cooled junkies...)
Joe, You probably know this, but my MOS had me in the 3rd MI at Huachuca. Security clearances and plenty of "indoctrination". Speaking of radar: We spent literally a full week in classes just going over radar array identification. I never would have thought there was that much to it. Luckily, I've forgotten it all.;) My favorite memory was that one day some guys in suits (NOT mp's!) came and "secured" a soldiers barrack room. He was never seen or heard from again. I may have missed it... what did you say your specialty was? Doug&Julie, Ford is close, but we all know that it wasn't until sometime after 1945 that the British sought to give control of the company to Ford (who turned the offer down because it thought it would be a waste of money). And of course it's a 1932 type 12. (unless somebody wants to tell me that this pic is also mislabelled) Another easy one: http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1130270794.jpg |
This is my kind of truck

Ury... what is your pic? An Imperial?
I love the old MoPars, but am not really knowledgeable in the Land Yacht series. This is not an aftermarket custom; it is a factory concept car for the __________ ? (no - not the Batmobile) http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1130332765.jpg Yep...The micro-bus looking thing I posted yesterday was a Stout Scarab. Powered by a flathead Ford V-8; approximately 9 were all that were ever manufactured from 1934 to 1939. |
Yep, 1964 Imperial.
|
Dodge Coronet...looks '64ish, so I'll say '63?
|
I think it was a concept car for the Dodge Charger. Er, I believe that thing's got a Hemi in it! :D
Believe it or not, the owner of the Subuaru dealer in my town had the sister concept car to that one - it was the body, but it was white with Orange or Red stripes. Never thought I'd see another one of those... -Z-man. |
