Actually wtih ALS there are 2 basic results. Either, it hits hard and fast adn you are dead in a year or so. Or, it drags out for 3 to who knows how many years. The good doctor is an edge case on the long scale.

My dad had ALS when he died, but I think it was a heart attack that actually got him. 72, had a family history of heart attacks and high bp, I don't ever remember him not taking a pill for it. Started showing symptoms (weird muscle twitches all over randomly), took forever to diagnose, died 2 years post diagnosis, about 3 years post showing symptoms.

Cool, are you going to sand and finish it or just use it as a sturdy workbench type table?

Yeah, but Hawking is 71 and was diagnosed when he was 21. I thought that 50 years was pretty rare. But you are probably a lot more likely to know than I am.

I saw him speak. Well, he was supposed to come to Houston in person earlier this year (or was it last fall), but his doctors advised him not to travel, so instead, he put together a couple of hour video and sent that along. I suspect a lot of it was from other stuff, but there was some stuff that was specific to our seminar. It was interesting to say the least.

Judging by the size, I'd say breakfast & lunch.

just a workbench. right now i have 3 small tables spread around the garage for more progect space so this will consolidate atleast a few of those. Its been great the last few days having just outside the garage door I might just leave it there for a while
