What sort of machinery is the photo taken from?

I stared and stared and stared... and all I can come up with is a gondola on a ferris wheel, but I'm sure that's not it. Helicopter?

Whatever it is, please post a shot of it from a front 3/4 perspective.

I believe this photo is taken from atop the gondola of a wind turbine very much like the ones in the background.

Wind turbine. Identical others are the white structures in the distance. Southern MN has LOTS of wind.

Like others have stated, this is the view out of the top hatch of the nacelle of a wind turbine. Here is a pic from below. Note blades are pitched backwards as this turbine had just been constructed.
