I thought the "turtle" moniker was perfect too as was the term MEDIOCRITY. Thanks, Cashflyer. BTW: I like pretty much any of the older cars over the newer ones. Those early 60's Impala's were beautiful in my opinion, Steve. I always favored the '63 the most. Although I respect that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. http://image.superchevy.com/f/256107...ear_bumper.jpg |

Having owned, restored, driven, raced a boat load of the 60's cars, I would rather Own a 60's car for the ever increasing investment value, but I would much rather drive the Brown Turd Box.

Re: the Chevys, I grew up with these cars and thought the '59 and the '64 were the best looking ones if only because of the clean lines of their designs. To each their own.

I had a '65 Impala 2 door(first car, older than I am).
I also had one of these 1969 Buick Riviera, in the same color, but the vinyl top had been removed and painted http://imganuncios.mitula.net/1969_b...1981301874.jpg and one of these 1970 Buick Skylark, I think it was about this color and had also had the vinyl top removed http://images.classiccars.com/classi...ck_Skylark.jpg |
I learned to drive manual trans on a 1966 Impala, not an SS mind you...3-speed on the column; what a car though...
