The industrial output of the allies did them in. However, the B-32 was never used in the European theater. It was a late comer to the war and only saw limited combat in the Pacific.

I could be wrong, but an educated guess, going by hair, nose and ear shape..that may be Sgt. Don Malarkey seated, ankle over knee, 3rd from left in the photo I posted. Darn old cameras producing fuzzy faces.... I was honored to have known Don in his later years when we both hung out in the same pool hall on Thursday afternoons. He loved to play "golf" on the snooker table,
