She probably works on the principle that if you follow RICE you will be back on your feet in 7 days but if you go to the doctor it could take as long as a week.

lol. Btw, I don't see any ice to bring down the swelling. However, she does have it elevated a bit.

That is actually a part of my A-V Fistula. The rest of it is on the top of my forearm. Before a kidney transplant, I took Dialysis. Being the Cheap ol' fart I am, and having paid a tidy sum to have it created, I will not pay to have it reversed. It is now 14 years old.

I do not understand the bible reference.

You're supposed to get rid of a ganglion cyst by hitting it with a Bible. Any large hardcover book will do.
