First Private Moon Launch Scheduled for 2017
First Private Moon Launch Scheduled for 2017 - Mic

Quote:
On Wednesday, Israeli non-profit organization SpaceIL obtained a private contract to pilot a space rover on the moon. The launch contract earns SpaceIL a "ticket to the moon" aboard a SpaceX Falcon 9 launcher, and is the first-ever verified launch deal awarded to a private firm. As such, serves as the starting gun for an independent space race. The contract also clears the way for Israel's maiden rover moon landing, expected in 2017 — provided everything goes according to plan.

No, didn't know that.

Found out some more trivia..........................and an apparent connection.

The Military Skull Art Inspired by The Punisher | Nothing But Comics

Quote:
The Punisher’s popularity among United States military personnel is evidenced by the incorporation of the character’s distinctive skull symbol into artwork generated within the military, most notably by the United States Navy’s Sea, Air, Land Teams (“Navy SEALs”) and the United States Army’s 24th Infantry Regiment..................

The 24th Infantry Regiment’s “Deuce Four Skull” insignia is clearly based on The Punisher’s skull symbol. The 24th Infantry regiment was deployed to Iraq as part of Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2004, and the “Deuce Four Skull” was painted on the walls of buildings where the regiment killed enemy combatants; the symbol became a fearsome calling card for the regiment.

Quote:
The Navy’s SEAL Team 3 paints The Punisher’s skull symbol on its military gear. Reporting on former SEAL Team 3 sniper Chris Kyle (who claimed to have made 255 kills, which would make him the most lethal U.S. sniper in history), the Daily Mail notes that for SEAL Team 3 the “action was enough that the members of the unit adopted the white skull of the gun-wielding comic book vigilante The Punisher. They painted the symbol on their body armor, their vehicles and even their weapons.” The New Yorker, reporting on Kyle’s death, also notes the use of The Punisher’s skull symbol by SEAL Team 3: “Kyle seemed to consider himself a cross between a lawman and an executioner. His platoon had spray-painted the image of the Punisher—a Marvel Comics character who wages ‘a one-man war upon crime’—on their flak jackets and helmets.” Kyle liked the skull symbol so much that he incorporated it into the logo of his company Craft International, which provides tactical training for military and law enforcement personnel.

Craft International tactical gear – note the skull symbol painted on the helmet and emblazoned on the uniform patch.

Note the “Deuce Four Skull” painted on the wall in the bottom right corner of the picture.

Plumeria?

I see them a lot in Hawaii, some here is SoCal, Baz probably has them in Florida so I think they prefer tropical climates.

My dad grew them here in Oklahoma. He had to winter them in a greenhouse in the winter. They never grew as well as the ones in our back yard in Hawaii.

Nailed it!

in the wake of a lawsuit filed by the widow of “american sniper” chris kyle, craft international filed for bankruptcy on may 30, 2014. Merchandise sales at craft international soared after his death, according to documents filed in u.s. Bankruptcy court in dallas. Over half of the company’s $900,000 in revenue last year came from apparel sales.

Former Craft International instructors are at a new company: TACFLOW
Quote:
We are proud to have been the official training partner of Craft International, LLC from 2009 until 2015, when they ceased to take on new business. The training cadre for Craft International has found a home under Tacflow Academy moving forward, so you can continue to receive the same high caliber training you have grown to expect, from the same instructor team you know and trust.

We did have a modified version of The Punisher skull on Chris Kyle's (B. Cooper) hero weapon in American Sniper.

They are very easy to grow. Break off a branch, stick it in dirt and water it.

Exactly! Eight years ago I did just that…cut a 12" piece off a friends bush and stuck it in the ground. Now I have this!
