Ants like the warmth and it looks like they laid eggs, too. It also looks like they ate the insulation off the wires.

No, that's a very extreme example of what happens when you continue to drive a car which has loose lug nuts.

That car had to be wobbling like crazy just before that wheel fell off.

A long time ago (mid-70's) I rode about 60 miles on I-26 with my girlfriend in her '64 Ford wagon and one wheel had 2 or 3 loose lug nuts.

It was the right front and she could feel it long before it got too bad, but we had to stop about every 5-10 miles so I could tighten them up. Fortunately, it was on the right, so it kept me from having to do it with traffic flying by at my back.

That wheel was a goner when the trip was over. I would have put the spare on, but I think it was flat when I looked.

Who on earth would choose to drill a hole into the side of a cable like that, when they could have loosened the bolt, and mounted it with a proper heat shrink ring connector on the black wire?.....and eliminated the red wire altogether.

Monumental Sculpture Diana by St. Gaudens to be Regilded
The Philadelphia Museum of Art will undertake a major project to regild Diana, the thirteen-foot-tall sculpture of the Roman goddess by Augustus Saint-Gaudens that commands the Museum’s Great Stair Hall and was once mounted atop the tower of Madison Square Garden, which was completed in 1890 to designs by the American architect Stanford White.
