My Dad taught me to lead load when I was restoring my E-Type Jag about 15 years ago. I used it for covering up all the panel joints and making perfect panel gaps. I felt I was really going back in time with my leather pad and wooden spoon but once I had mastered it my Dad was so happy that he had passed on one of those old school skills. Be sure you clean up the tinning flux thoroughly otherwise it will later mess with your paint. Pass this skill on if you can.

Don't be so quick to judge.

So . .. you think the Beverly Hills LAPD "recovered" a brand new tesla, a 2016 i3, and 6 brand new BMW motorcycles through "asset forfeiture?"

come on, man.

The Tesla is one of several that LAPD is testing

Last time I checked, the BMW motorcycle is one of the most commonly used Law Enforcement Motor platforms being used today. So there is nothing special about seeing several at one location.

As far as the rest, I personally couldn't tell the year model by looking at the small screen on the phone. If your truly curios on how the LAPD acquired those vehicles, then ask them. That type of information is readily available to the public. Federal grants, asset forfeiture, donations are just a few ways Departments can get equipment without affecting budgets. Manufactures also will donate a vehicle to be used to also get some face time with the public and get their product seen. The finer details about that type of arrangement is a policy thing. Also available to the public for anyone wanting to know.

I personally know of a fire station in LA County that had a wealthy widow walked in every year and cut them a check for new piece of equipment/vehicle they needed. Believe it or not, there are members of our society that still like members of public service such as fire and police and have the resources to do things like that.

All I am saying is to get all of the facts before you start "bashing" over a single photo.

It's just common sense

You didn't get the facts before you made your first comment! You're just guessing too. Physician heal thyself!

I didn't bash. I just questioned your assertion that these vehicles are asset forfeiture vehicles. Which of course they are not.
