Cash - you posted the pic of the 300C (I've got about 80 hours in them from many years ago), I'd heard Sikorsky is selling the 300 line, have you heard who might end up with it? I hope not the Chinese...

A friend of mine is a Sikorsky sales rep, and even he is not sure what is going on.
Sikorsky closed down the 300C line in 2012, and there were still orders on the books. Those customers were basically SOL, but I heard that they threatened to sue for business losses, etc. In 2014, Sikorsky announced they would build the last 19 ships and deliver within 6 months. I guess they did, but have not kept up with it.
More recently, like in the last 6 months, I was hearing rumours that Sikorsky wanted to revive the line. The rumor was that since Bell sold the model 47 line to Scotts, Sikorsky feels that there is now a need to compete in the training helo market. Another rumour though, was that they were just going to market the Chinese built Avicopter AC310 under the Sikorsky name.
Of course due to the acquisition of Sikorsky by Lockheed in 2015, nobody really knows where Lockheed will go with all of this. The Lockheed website makes no mention of the 300C or AC310.
