Dunno, on one hand if I had kids I would want all the protective gear.
On the other hand I BMWed my bike without helmet, pads, etc.

There is a lot you can learn on building that bigger-better bike jump out of old wood. Then to only have it fold under you as you were totally committed. Blood, splinters and a scratched up bike. What could be better.

-Jumping off swings at the highest point of the forward swing.

- monkey bars!!!!!! Especially the two story one. "King of the monkey bars" Oh the blisters.....
-trick or treating until 10:00 or 11 "at night" Oh the horror!!!!
-riding around on your friends handle bars,
or better yet, in the back of the pick-up bed.......(your parents, pick-up)

As far as the lawn dart game, a childhood would not be complete unless you knew or someone knew of a kid that got one stuck in his/her head. Or even siblings that got into a fight and threw one at the other, sticking it in their back.
