Old town Albuquerque was an unplanned delight!
There are 12 of these across the U.S., and one in my home town. A tribute to the tough women who traveled west!

RE: road trips, if you yearn for one, do it. I could have shipped the car for what it cost me. Something told me to get back out there, and the plans for a road trip emerged.
And to be honest, I didn't realize how much it would help clear my head. And once I hit the road (solo I might add, and on purpose) I had several friends say they wished I'd have invited them. But this time - I just wanted to get a way alone. ...been a long time! Santa Fe - on a whim:

You seldom see any building or any thing as old as that church - or - that bell, in California, or the US!

Never seen one, only heard stories about the days theses things were used to race with then yanked out due to timing issues. Apparently there were a couple well known race family/teams from El Dorado Co back in the day(decades ago). Only stories, like the stories of allegedly some still sitting on properties, in fields.......uphill.... in the snow, both directions. It's like our own little piece of the Sasquatch lore. 4-camsquatch? ![]() Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Sounds like a fantastic plan and trip. I think the only way to improve, would be on a bike, IMHO. GS1300 maybe or any other comfy cruiser. To each their own and a bike isn't for everyone, inherent risks on each level, car or bike. Bottom line, pick a platform and goat-for-it. Thanks for sharing ![]() Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

We used to race with a fairly rich Porsche owner who would bring a 911R AND a real 550 Spyder to the races with spare engines for both. He mentioned once at our season ending dinner in Phoenix he had 6 of the dual cam engines ready to go in is "garage". I was told it held 20 or so cars. He lost several million with the big Madoff blow up but never skipped a beat!
