Mailman (yes, ours is male) told my Wife she had to move the mailbox to the ditch as he would not deliver the mail if the box was at the edge of the driveway. Sooooo here is our mailbox!





The place where we take our MANLY baby blue honda and the diesel always has something interesting. We've seen cars as far back as the late '20s there. Anyhow, our car was next to the car barely visible in the photo, Wife LOVES the mid '50s T-Birds!

The old compressor in the photo is ballpark 800-1000 tons of cooling. The 1st stage volute casing is about 5000 lbs, motor about 5000 lbs and the 2nd stage volute maybe 2500 lbs. Lots of fun picking that kind of weight up when the engineers and designers jam them into some little corner of a machine room!

This an overhaul video of a 3 stage Trane CVHE. These guys have lots of room to work and questionable taste in music!

Billybek, need to pick your brain:

I have a joy TA 60 centrifugal air compressor and the finned inter/after coolers are shot.
Local heat exchanger repair shops won't touch them, the OEM quoted 5 months delivery for replacements.

Do you know of a company that can repair this type of cooler, or one that might be able ot fab up new units in less than 5 months?
