Ive been building models since I was a little kid, but every time I go into a store, I'm blown away at the price of plastic models nowadays. It's ridiculous.

In Norfolk where I grew up, there was a store downtown known as the Hobby Shop and they had the best assortment and inventory of models. I think I remember seeing some in other various department stores....but nothing like the Hobby Shop. Those were the days.....

Before I started building model cars I has about 75 Matchbox cars I still have some of them. I graduated to Hot Wheels and to HO slot cars soon after.

When I first started buying my own groceries, I did that.

Apparently everything in my parents house that they bought opened without a lid like that.

What clue-ed me in was just how darn tough it was to open, surely something was wrong? I didn't do it more than three times.
