I love Ford trucks. They’ve been very good to me. We routinely get 400K + miles from an F250 on the original engine and trans.
That said, the frequency with which the 5.4’s launch properly torqued spark plugs is just not right - Ford should have voluntarily made good on these defects.   If you count real carefully you’ll find there’s just about 4 full threads in that aluminum head for each spark plug. That’s just not enough to hold one.  There’s at least 10 threads on the OEM plug. |

Location: Placerville, CA.... You know, the only place on Highway 50 between Sacramento and Lake Tahoe the you find signal lights. Above the fog most of the time and I can see the stars of the Milky Way 8 out of 10 nights. Kinda cool.....
