Another one of the dizzyingly many uses for duct tape.

Who is the confused-looking fellow, Byron? I hope you washed your hands. Afterward.

Thom,
What type paint are you spraying the Ghia with? Two-stage enamel? Lacquer? |

I once shot a 73 VW beetle (this was in 1998) with catelyzed acrylic enamel, using much the same setup (sheeting over everything, respirator, tyvek suit, gun running off my air compressor)....that's tough work, I'm incredibly impressed with Thom's results! |

Thom - your video is the cats a$$. Cool music too.
If that doesn't get you laid, well, you'll have more time to paint. |
Thanks for the feedback!
Yes, it's a base/clear using PPG DBC base http://www.vintagebus.com/56kg/paint/2103018.JPG http://www.vintagebus.com/56kg/paint/2103018e.JPG |
doors, guages, seat....oh engine. Don't need all that other crap to weight it down. ;o)

Holy $#%! Awesome video!
I have to get with the HVLP program. If you tried that using the old style gun, all you'd be able to see in the video is a huge, sticky toxic cloud. |
Thom - any chance you could re-post some of the pictures of the car when you first got it to remind us of how far you have come with it? It really shows that amount of time and effort that you have put into that car. I can't wait to see what the finished product looks like.
