40 mpg vs. 5 mpg

"A study in contrasts"

(Parked next to a Prius at the mall, saw the irony. & yeah neither of us can park straight)

That's a great picture Craig! I can only imagine that between the sound of your car lighting off and the hydrocarbon cloud, you would disturb every fiber of Prius owner. Fun stuff,
Troy

When I go to school, the parents at my daughter's elementary already look at the 930 and myself as if I am some deviant societal freak

Yeah, risking your child's life in that unsafe sports car. No air bags or anti-lock brakes? How could you be so irresponsible!

Well of course you are, Craig. You're not driving an SUV or Minivan, so you're obviously not part of the "Stepford" community.

You wanna see looks? I enjoy taking the Targa to the township recycling center on Saturdays, and hauling newspapers, bottles and cans out of the front. The looks I get from the guys driving the mommy-wagons are enough to kill.

Exactly!

Typically I see Lexus SUVs, minivans, and other people movers.
Heck, we *do* have a wagon, but that comes out on nasty days or on trips to the woods or to the in laws at their dusty ol' eastern WA town.

Maybe it has something to do with no muffler....my daughter can HEAR me idling into school from her interior classroom...

Funny thing is, there are cars available that are about the same price, fun to drive and don't indicate you've given up on all fun.

Ones that don't have the owners showing that resentment you speak of -

Suddenly I'm transported back to my not-so-younger days (30s) when I shot a lot of pool. I shot billiards with a snooker cue. I liked the slimmer cue. I thought I had more control but I doubt it. I didn't have the power that the billiards cues offer. Nonetheless, I was still "the one to beat"!!

Nowadays it's darts in my garage. That's my brother at the score board. My uncles were visiting earlier this year.

yeah i know, there's always a porsche atrocity being sold on ebay, but at least not one i saw was trying to be labelled as another "brand" of car LOL... this is simply beyond putting an 'M' badge next to the 318ti logo

i'd love to read up the ferrari board comments ab this one

Hah, Great picture. Looks like my guy Cujo, (he was a rescue and came with the name). Bone cancer took him 3 years ago, also took my female English Mastiff/Newfoundland cross last year.

What great animals, sweet gentle giants. As timid as they can be you DO NOT want to present even the slightest threat to the immediate family.

We used to leave the glass in the storm door year round cause they go right thru the screen like it's air. Never got tired of watching peoples reactions when they came to the door and that 225 lb. behemoth would charge the door and slide into it barking and spewing buckets of spooge in their direction.

Saved me lots of money, the Pizza guy would settle for less than he was owed and never waited around for a tip. I'm pretty sure one or two of them pissed themselves.
