So I meet this guy at a cigar lounge with an odd sized instrument on his back. I ask him what it is as the size puzzles me, he takes it out and hands it to me. It looks like a hollow body electric guitar made of wood, with a really heavy neck, but is smaller and sounds like a mandolin, banjo, and guitar had some funky business going on and it's not to be discussed in public.
It had matte finish, sort of a brown sunburst with Les-Paul like edges, said it was made in China. I'm still not sure if this instrument has a name.
