That splat seems a bit unplanned.

He bounced hard and spread the landing gear - notice how the aircraft is nearly sitting on its belly. |

if people would look in front and focus on accelerating... instead of slowing down to watch the carnage.. the traffic jam would be a lot shorter. I've never quite onder stood why people sit in a T jam for 3-4 miles annoyed. then at the point where the narrowing and merging is done.. you know ,the point where everybody can speed up They don't because "well I've spent all this time waiting in the Tjam, Now I am going to take my sweet time to have a good look why I was waiting. and all yalls behind me can just wait a bit longer." https://ewscripps.brightspotcdn.com/...Fimage0-1.jpeg |

A very unique home in the Cameo Shores neighborhood of Corona Del Mar. I used to take my kids to the cove it was built above (when public access was still maintained) and I visited it several times before it was completely finished. My 8 year old middle daughter showing off there in 2002: http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1590513864.jpg It straddles 3 ocean-front lots on one of the prettiest little coves you ever saw. It was built for (IIRC) the guy who started Broadcom, and it's known locally as the "Portobello Mushroom House". 8 bedrooms, unbelievable interior pools, boaling alley, and a staggering subterranean garage with office and bedroom. All this and more, for just $75M. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/RUVkXjyUxDE" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe> |

I see these shipping pix so often...why wouldn't they attach a strap/chain or something else across the tops of the containers (if all stacked at the same height)? It would seem to make it that much more rigid as a single large object rather than stacks of boxes very close to each other, if they were tied together at the top. Would it take too long? Can't cost more in labor than these insurance fiascos. |
