I'm really liking this mid-engined theme we're on.
Hemmings "Sports & Exotic Car" has a nice piece on a remarkably original '56 Porsche Spyder this month (Feb 07).

I was thinking the same thing. I think it may be but that doesn't look like his showroom; granted I have not seen his showroom in 6 years though. I met George back in 86 when I had my 914. Very intelligent guy and he always took time to speak with me over the phone or in person; good guy in my book. I have heard some negative comments about him and Auto ATL but they always treated me well.

I agree. You have to get around his ego but other than that George is OK and a wealth of knowledge on 914 and it's variants.
That black one looks like he one I sold to buy my 911S.

This car was covered by excellence last month, non?

Drove an E63 yesterday while a friend was getting GL450. 507 hp and 465 lb-ft tends to get the job done. Wicked throttle response/exhaust note, sport seats, paddle shifters. Whole car feels like it's carved from one piece of billet. Me likey!

That's the one. If I remember correctly, there is a reprint in the front of Auto ATL's parts cat. along with a write up about the car. Didn't he find it in FL? Time plays tricks on the color you remember for a car.
