I just bought this bike last week, it really makes sense.

I got tired of the whole "mountain bike and racer poser" thing, and since I only ride on the santa ana river trail with my kids, this bike is logical. Adjustable spring forks, sprung seat post, adjustable gooseneck, totally comfortable to cruise. It's aluminum and the components are of reasonable quality, well worth the nearly $300 I paid.

yeah it's best to get what works for you.

This works for me...and less that $3k :D

Yeah? what year is it? ;)

I see a '57 hooked to a 59 "Cat Eye." I like it, would not want to own it. But, that's the same with a lot of cars.

Cannondale, or Cannonfodder?

Ditch the chain, lube everthing else and bike will be alright.

That Cannondale was built back when they still made decent bikes. I still ride my "beast of the east" with a new fox shock on the front.

It is brand new and is called a "789" '57 front, '58 center, and '59 rear on an Corvette C6 chassis. $138,000 turn-key.

+10 for originality!

Oh, and why-oh-why do insist on "quoting" an entire series of pics?

It is possible to cut the pics from your "quote" you know...

(all right, I'm cranky before morning coffee no. 3 is banged down)

I'm with Purry here guys...I'm among the few still on dial-up. Be considerate of others, please...BTW, you don't even have to "quote" girl pics...I can take my sweet time looking at the original..

I might be a little behind times, but paying $3000.00 for a BIKE, wow, that is some serious riding. 3K. You're kidding, right?

I suspect, hopefully, in about 2-4 more years she'll be wearing even sexier stuff.

This is a step in the right direction
