Strange propeller on the DeJong and Lebet website.
Unless I'm not seeing something, that seems to be a Kaplan propeller, pretty standard in nozzles.

Thank you...............this is new to me.

This is cool too, dimples!

Similar, but not an exact match, I'll keep looking.

Kaplan propeller
http://www.australpropeller.com.au/kaplan.htm
Quote:
Conventional propellers have the blade face generation at 90 degrees to centre axis whereas the raked design has blades which are tilted at an angle to the centre axis. Austral now produces Kaplan propellers with aft rake, basically the centre of the blade at the tip is approximately in line with the rear face of the propeller hub. This aft rake design normally means a larger diameter propeller can be fitted because of greater aperture available toward rear of boat.

If I only had $36,000, that would be mine.

You don't need $36,000. You can build one for under $15,000

FP3 design is based on "free pistons" being driven back and forth inside cylinders by controlled internal combustion. Permanent magnets are attached to the pistons. As the magnets move, electric power is generated in coils placed around the magnets.

Would adding the mass of the magnets work on a Rotary engine?

Yes:

Gotta ponder if it would just be more compact though.

It would be even cooler if the electricity then powered a waterwheel that supplied h2o for a steam generator, that energized a Stirling engine driving the wheels!

Looks like a generator and engine wrapped into one with minimal moving parts. A typical genset would have an engine driving a generator. Mechanical and heat losses are associated with such a package, but if "freepistonpower" is efficient at converting the piston motion to electrical current, then it would be a step forward. There's abvious heat loss associated with the combustion cycle, but the mechanical to electrical conversion is instant with only frictional loss in the cyclinder.

Magnets and heat, magnets and the cold. Which environment do they work better in?

Cold right?
